Simgenet Datacenter Firewall Security Platform Series is a firewall security platform developed for datacenters, service providers, and large enterprise networks that require high bandwidth, high concurrency, and 24/7 uninterrupted operation.
The platform offers a fully modular and high-capacity hardware architecture optimized for datacenter edge and internal datacenter network (east–west traffic) scenarios.
Positioning and Target Use
Simgenet Datacenter Firewall Security Platform Series is positioned for the following scenarios:
Datacenter edge (north–south traffic)
Internal datacenter network (east–west traffic)
Service provider (ISP) edge and aggregation points
Large enterprise backbone and core networks
Aggregation and segmentation at 100G speeds
Campus, SMB, and SOHO environments are not targeted.
Design Philosophy
This series is not designed for continuous deep packet inspection at full line rate. It offers a policy-based and selective security approach and is compatible with layered, hybrid datacenter security architectures.

This platform is designed for the following use cases:
100G aggregation / transit traffic
Datacenter east–west network segmentation
Large numbers of VLANs / VRFs / security zones
Policy-based firewall
Selective IPS (limited and targeted)
The following scenarios are not within the intended scope of this platform:
Continuous IPS at full 100G line rate
100G SSL/TLS inspection
Architectures requiring full deep packet inspection (DPI)

Simgenet Datacenter Firewall Security Platform Series can be configured with fully modular network interface cards selected according to requirements:

Software Architecture Note
This series is built on the Simgenet Firewall Security Platform software architecture. Software capabilities are independent of hardware; concurrent usage capacity scales according to hardware performance.
