Huawei OptiXtrans E6616 is a highly integrated OTN/DWDM optical transport platform developed for metro and backbone networks requiring high capacity, low latency, and flexible topology management. It is widely deployed in power generation and transmission infrastructures, TEİAŞ substations, railway communication systems, data centers, and ISP backbone networks.
The platform supports service access from 64 kbit/s up to 100GE, enabling convergence of SDH, PDH, OTN, and Ethernet technologies on a single platform. With 2.8 Tbps OTN switching capacity and up to 200 Gbit/s per slot, it meets demanding high-bandwidth requirements. It supports up to 80 wavelengths in DWDM and 8 wavelengths in CWDM configurations.
With 1–20 degree ROADM capability, the system provides flexible optical routing. High availability is ensured through OTN 1+1 protection, ODUk SNCP, MSP, TPS, and optical line protection mechanisms. IEEE 1588v2 and ITU-T G.8275.1/G.8273.2 synchronization support make it suitable for time-sensitive network applications.
Redundant control boards, clock units, power supplies, and fan modules ensure hardware-level reliability.
